Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
